1. Acceptance
By accessing or using movrus (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You're responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for safeguarding your login credentials.
3. The Service
movrus helps renters discover rental listings (including third-party MLS feeds), build a portable movrus Profile, set listing alerts, and submit applications. movrus helps landlords list properties, screen applicants, and manage tenancies.
movrus is not a real-estate broker, lender, or property manager. Listings are provided by third parties and may change or be removed without notice. movrus does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or condition of any listing.
4. Listings, Applications & Communications
- Renters may submit applications through movrus. Landlords decide whom to approve.
- Application fees, security deposits, and rent are governed by the lease and applicable law.
- Do not submit false information or impersonate others.
5. Listing Alerts & Notifications
By creating alerts you authorize movrus to send periodic email and (if opted in) SMS notifications. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS. Frequency varies. Standard carrier rates may apply.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: scrape or copy listings in bulk; misrepresent your identity; circumvent technical protections; harass other users; post discriminatory content; or use the Service in violation of fair-housing or other applicable laws.
7. Fees
The Service is free for renters. Landlord and partner fees, where applicable, are described on the relevant pricing page and are subject to change with notice.
8. Intellectual Property
movrus and its licensors own the Service, the software, and all related trademarks. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant movrus a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and process it to operate the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates third-party data and tools (e.g., MLS providers, screening, payments, communications). Their terms also govern your use of those features.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, movrus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to the Service.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which movrus is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
14. Changes
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
